Bali Family Vacation - Travelling with kids in Uluwatu!

Dreamland Beach At Sunset

Is Uluwatu, Bali good for a family trip?

It's a common question, is Uluwatu child (or family) friendly? The simple answer is yes! There is so much here for our little ones to keep them occupied! Surf, nature, walks, beaches, culture experiences, activities and family-friendly beach clubs.

Beaches

Our pick from our favourite Uluwatu Beaches for the kids would be Bingin Beach, Dreamland and Padang Padang Beach. Each one offers families shade, access to food and a great place to enjoy the beautiful turquoise water. Why not discover the magic of the rockpools or learn to surf? There is so much room to run free on these beaches, perfect for the whole family.

Culture experience

Take the family to a culture-rich experience at sunset, for the Kecak Dance located at Uluwatu Temple. Think music, dancers, masks & costumes, a fire display and a whole heap of fun! Daily, from 5:45 PM -  be sure to get there early as it’s a popular choice amongst travellers.

Sundays Beach Club

Located in Melasti - one of Bali's most beautiful beaches, and particularly great for the little ones. Arrive at The Ungasan Resort and enjoy your picturesque views of the ocean while you journey down the cliff face on a cable cart. Be sure to arrive early for the best position, as it fills fast and on Sundays, they don’t take bookings.

Your day will be filled with beach activities kayaking, snorkelling, stand-up paddle boarding amongst so much more. Toasting marshmallows at the sunset bonfire is a highlight!

Uluwatu restaurants with play areas, suitable for the whole family…

Banana Lounge

This one is not to be missed, the whole family will enjoy what Banana Lounge is offering… you will be spoilt for choice in the food and drinks department while the relaxation vibes at an all time high. The kids (and adults) will enjoy the huge pool with floaties and floating lounges – don’t be surprised if you stay all day!

Cashew Tree

One of our absolute favourites and so close to Nisi Villas. Incredible organic, healthy food options with a mix of flavours from all over the world, there’s no doubt you will be back to try more! There’s a gated outdoor playground, and sandpit next to the dining area so that you can easily watch on while the kids have a ball! We can highly recommend Cashew Tree.

Ohana Kids Paradise

Somewhere where not only the kids will have a ball, but you can relax and unwind in the restaurant with an incredible menu while the kids are entertained with a playground, in-ground trampoline, activities, and the best part, they have staff always supervising children the playground! Check it out here.
